My First Real Camera

Kenan’s first interchangeable-lens camera was a Canon 200D. He had no formal plan and was still learning when to reach for the kit lens or the 50mm f/1.8, but the colours and clarity immediately felt different from a phone.
The early photographs were mostly of friends, birthdays, gardens and trips outside. Looking back, their technical imperfections matter less than the fact that they made photography feel worth returning to.
The first camera did not need to be perfect. It only needed to make the next photograph feel exciting.
The long way back
After selling the 200D and moving on to other hobbies, a Canon SX70 HS from Kenan’s grandad reopened the door. Photographing rhinos, giraffes and flamingos back home in Namibia reminded him how much he enjoyed carrying a camera.
The camera today
A Sony ZV-E10 II followed for YouTube, then a return to Canon with the R6 II. The equipment changed, but the instinct remained the same: photograph people, places and small moments that feel worth remembering.
